As a lifelong Athens resident and University of Georgia graduate, I take great pride in helping individuals and families protect what matters most. My journey began working in my father’s State Farm agency, where I learned firsthand the importance of building strong relationships with customers.
Before opening my own agency in 2012, I spent time in home building and real estate development, focusing on sustainable practices. Now, I’m fortunate to lead a team dedicated to personalized service, community involvement, and making a real impact. Our agency proudly supports the Athens Farmers Market, Rotary Club, and the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce.

ROLE DESCRIPTIONShane Dekle - State Farm Agent is a leading insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member.Our ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to contributing to a positive and productive workplace. Responsibilities
  • Greet clients warmly in person and over the phone, directing them to the appropriate team members.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and office communications.
  • Assist in handling incoming inquiries and maintaining customer records.
  • Engage in sales conversations with prospective and existing clients, identifying opportunities to offer insurance solutions.
  • Provide excellent customer service and follow up on client needs.
  • Support the team with various administrative tasks and projects.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable with engaging in sales conversations.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Compensation $30,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
